Job Purpose: The Product Manager will own products within the Spotlight suite, from conception through production support. The Product Manager role is the critical role in helping the larger organization succeed in servicing our customers and clients in the casting industry through high-quality, innovative technology solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Define products

  • Create and continually prioritize the roadmap and backlog for owned application and data migration products
  • Create and maintain vision statements for each product
  • Document business, functional, and non-functional requirements, use cases, and user stories
  • Assist project management with project and release plans
  • Define analytics and other measures of success. Ensure those analytics are being accurately measured and are representative of product goals
  • Understand market and technology forces and effects on the product and roadmap

Manage product development

  • Prioritize work for each sprint for both application and data migration projects
  • Oversee the quality of in-development and released software by performing QA and gathering user feedback
  • Ensure developers are aware of the context and goals of the work they’re doing

Represent products

  • Be the first line of understanding and authority
  • Work to understand how the products and users interact with and affect other parts of the Spotlight business. Represent the product line to other parts of Spotlight
  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure the product area is appropriately promoted and represented to users through marketing sites and social media
  • Meet regularly with employees from sales, customer success, and other areas of the company to keep them informed of the roadmap and gather their input and feedback on development and fixes

Qualifications & Attributes:

  • 3-5 years of b2b / b2c product development/management experience overseeing the design, development, and launch of successful features and products
  • Excellent personal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well across departments and in an Agile development team framework
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines and to manage development/production staff to ensure that projects remain on schedule and within budget
  • Comfortable using tools like GitHub, inVision, Figma, and SQL to review and talk about design, code, and data
  • Experience with subscription-based applications and services, and billing platforms
  • Experience with hiring platforms (ie. LinkedIn, Indeed)
  • Experience within the media and entertainment industry is a plus
  • Experience with data reporting platforms like Heap and Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with pros and cons of latest web and mobile development technologies, libraries, frameworks
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and 'do whatever it takes' with an attention to detail
